“Let’s get you someplace you can wash it up. Can you walk or do you need help?” She offered her hand to the other woman. “Also, just Sam. I haven’t been Miss Wilson, since grade school.” She chuckled lightly.
“I’m pretty sure I can walk,” Max agreed, accepting Sam’s hand and pulling herself to her feet. Sure enough, full leg function. Always a good thing. “Sam it is,” she smiled. “I’m Max. Max Eastman. But I prefer just Max.” She reached down for her board then, using her uninjured arm to swipe it up, and stick it under her arm pit.
“Pleasure Max.” She let out a shrill whistle and a white and black dog came bounding up. “Hmm.. Lets go back to my place. Its about two blocks that way. I have a first aide kit there though.” She patted the dog. “This is Raliegh.”
