She’s angry again, infuriated at what she has learned about the Hydra agents in SHIELD. He fingers itch to draw her gun, to fight like she used to, but she can’t, she’s retired. Instead she hurls a flower vase at the wall, in time to hear knocks on the back door.
She rushes to see Steve, and the pretty ginger standing there to he lets them in. And they’re talking about getting back, stopping Hydra, and for a split second she feels like she’s back in the Army and she knows what she can do.
She grabs her file - the one she goes through everyone weekend because she has nothing better to do - and gives it to the Captain, knowing he won’t be able to stop her, because she’s already commited to helping, itching to feel a weapon in her hand again.
