[text - unknown] i dunno who you are
[text - unknown] but yum.
She laughed. “Its on a only when asked, basis. I’m not Tash.” She pulled her out of the building and lead her down to a park that not many people went to. “This is my favorite time of year, when all the flowers and everything is so green.”
She looked up at the trees and smiled. “They call you the Winter Soldier, Bucky.. One with out life, who is so cruel. I don’t think that’s appropriate. This is you, the real you, is more like the summer, warm and full of life and able to survive the worst storms that are thrown at you.”
Admittedly Bucky was relieved to be back out in the open, rather than cooped up and cornered in the cafe. She was able to breathe a little easier as they walked to the park. Once again, Bucky’s attention went to where the exits were and how many people were in the area. She couldn’t help it; it was engrained in her being.
She blinked as Sam spoke about her code name and the seasons. She looked around at the trees and plants growing and blooming in the park, all reaching up towards the sun’s warmth. “Did Steve tell you that about me?” She asked, still looking up the trees. “‘Cause I don’t know who the real me is any more. I can’t tell you if I agree with you on that.”
“He told me about your past yes.” She leaned against a rail and looked at her. “But remember, I’m a soldier too. One who has done shit I ain’t proud of.” She looked at her hands. “But I’m not talking about your past or mine.” She smiled up at her. “I say that because you are here, and you feel guilt. That makes you so very alive. I can see in your eyes that you do care some, especially when asking about Steve and Nat, that’s your warmth.”
“If you were truly winter, there would be no remorse, no guilt. I wouldn’t be standing here talking to you and neither Nat nor Steve would be alive.”
