Just a Coffee
Her dark cheeks heated and and she accepted her coffee back, then offered her hand to him. “I must sound fucking nuts, but you’re welcome to stay with Raliegh and me till this blows over.” She smiled up at him, then unwound her scarf and wrapped it around his neck.
“Come on then.” She tugged on his hand, pulling him out into the snow.
What was she thinking? She hated being cold. She shook herself of the thought and began trudging through the snow, heading to her home.
He was right there with her, step for step. At least…he was for the first block. Soon after that he began lagging behind. Downing what remained of his coffee helped for a step or two, but even that warmth was gone by the second half of the second block of snow and wind they’d trekked through.
“Wait,” he called, tugging her with him into the entrance of a random building. This was an apartment foyer - barely wide enough for them both to fit, and didn’t provide much relief, but it was good enough for him to stop and get a feel for any other unlucky walkers passing by.
It would only take a moment or two for him to draw some lust from someone with any luck. Of course, his handiest target happened to be right there, squished with him in the aclove, but considering the circumstances it hardly seemed fair.
“I just need a moment,” he sighed, locking his gaze on a heavyset man that was trudging slowly by.
She cupped his cheeks, having already figured out he was a creature of lust and heat and pulled him down for a kiss. She was uninhibited, and let all of her emotions go free into the kiss, trying to help him.
It really didn’t hurt he was a gorgeous man that sparked feelings she had never thought to have again.
Breaking the kiss because she needed to breathe and she was getting weak kneed, she looked up at him, hands still on his cheeks. “Does that help?”
