Laughing, he turned on his heel and jogged backwards. “Sorry!” Lie. Bucky’s so not sorry, in fact he’s enjoying himself. He feels better then he has in a long time. “We should do this more often.”
“JACKASS!” She hollered after him, a grin on her face. “Meet you at the tree by the monument when we’re done?” She knew she wouldn’t keep up with him, and didn’t even try. She’d finish eventually and then she’d get to sit and talk with him.
There was no point in answering, a simple nod would do. He turned, bolting down the track, enjoying the wind in his hair. It felt good to let his body do what it was built to do– to push it to the limit. Although, he found it took the fun out of the run, because Bucky was at the tree in no time. “Shit.” He ran a quick hand through his hair, grinning slightly.
She got there some time later and pulled her teeshirt off, revealing her red sports bra. “Hey, Barnes. You looked slow today.” She teased, wiping her face with the cloth in her hands.
