“Hungry isn’t exactly one of the things I feel anymore. So no, but thanks for the offer.” He responds, glancing at the dog sitting at Sam’s feet.

Raliegh was sitting between Sam’s feet, looking up at the male with quiet, intelligent eyes. She didn’t bark or growl, just sat there looking at him between her human and the stranger.

Eric tilted his head to one side slightly as he glanced at Raliegh, then back to Sam. Somehow there was a resemblance between dog and human; the intelligence in their eyes seemed to match. Though, he couldn’t imagine why the dog didn’t attempt to bite him. After all; he probably had some blood on his boots.

Sam raised an eyebrow at him, then looked at her dog. “She’s too smart for her own good sometimes.” She reached down to stroke the dog, but Raliegh never took her eyes off Eric.

“She’s being weird, but thank you… Its oddly satsifying to know that there is a type of angel out in the world that protects the innocent still.”
